Peterborough

We left Hastings on Tuesday 7/5 headed to Peterborough and the marina called and told that lock 19 was broke. We stopped and anchored out and went swimming for several hours. We talked to the lock master later in the day and he said to come ahead and it would be fixed by the time we got there. NOT!! The divers had just gotten there and it took a while to fix. When it was fixed they put all of use in the lock together, and it was very tight........

Hastings

They had a fishing tournament and there were at least 50 boats.

There were a lot of jet skies jumping our wake and it looked like fun.

What a view......................

TS Lock

This was a cute boat filled with flower at one of the locks. All of the lock are very nice and have flowers every where and the lock master are very nice.

Campbellford

This was a very interesting town. We pumped fuel from a gas station on the road and two women helped us. We found out later they didn't even work there! They work the boaters for tips(give directions to town etc). They did catch a rope for me, and helped us off the next morning. (they were pretty rough). Yes Walker did tip them.................

The canal goes right through the town and roads were on both sides. These cars were in some one's front yard.

Ranney Falls

Check this one out, it is lock 11 & 12 and 48'. It takes you up in 11 and you stay in 11 till 12 opens. There was a boat in 12 (top) that moved into the lock we were in (11) pretty neat. It is called a flight lock.

Just another lock............
