THE BIG CRAB CATCH

Yes, I finally caught a crab. I know its not very big, but there is one in there.
Bob's is going to give me some different bait, I am using chicken necks. I have been cleaning esinglass glass all day, and Walker has been playing in the engine room.
I will let you know how the different bait works!!!

CAPE MAY NJ

It is friday 5/28 we are still here. We have live free entertainment at the marina.
Bob is the owner and he is always doing something. I wounder how many fish he cleans daily. I watched him clean 5 or 6 at least 60 to 70 lbs. in just a few hours. The cat is one of two cats that live on the docks. They won't let you pet them, I guess they are guard cats.

CAPE MAY NJ.

We got to Cape May Wednesday, 5/26 this is one of my favorite places. We came thru here last year when took the boat to VA. We are staying at Miss Chris Marina and of course got a good deal. We are backed to the fishing dock! There are fishing boats all around us. The fish below is one that was caught a drum and it was over 60lbs. (not the one standing) The tide here is at least 6 to 7 feet. It comes in and out at least twice a day. The full moon last night 5/27 made the tide water come up to the road, and up to the top of the dock and that was pretty wild. The boat at low tide is sitting in the mud. We will be here till Tuesday 6/1, will try and post the catch of the day, and still have no crabs!!!

CAPE MAY NJ.

Tuesday 5/25 stayed at Delware City Marina, Steve and his crew went to visit friends.
Of course we went to eat, at Kathy's great food and happy hour cold beer! We had to check the town out not much here! The tides are at least 6 ft. but it was cheap dockage.

Rock Hall MD.

We got to Rock Hall Monday 5/24 a quite little town. Of course we went to get something to eat!! Rode bikes into town, and looked for museum and went the wrong way. Found a neat little ice cream place, boys went back to boat and of course Carolyn and I went shopping. I now have one more pair of flip flops!! and so does Carolyn. Still no crabs!!!!

Saturday 5/22 got up early had to set alarm Steve wants to leave early. We are on our way to St.Michael's MD. We stayed at St. Michael's Marina, and it was nice and expensive. Went to a museum, Carolyn and I left early to back to town and shop. We both bought us a crab trap an the guys have been laughing at us. Just wait we will eat our crabs in front of them. We stayed
here for two days. The next two pictures are in St. Michael also.

Today is Friday 5/21 and we are at Calvert Marina in Solomon's MD. We met back up with Steve and Carolyn Wood, and yes another Carolyn!!! The marina has a car that you can use, a Mercedes and what a piece of junk. No ac only on window would go down, and you can only keep it 1 hour. Got the Dinghy off and went to see Here & Now aka Steve & Carolyn. Going to bed early had to get up early.

This is a sunset at Tangier Island!!
Could you live here?
Tangier Island is a big crab and fishing town.
We felt like we went back in time about 50 years.
We had no phone or inter net service!! I think I could live here!!

The captain has given his OK for her to takeoff. We left on Wednesday May 19, and went to Deltaville Va.and it was a very quite night. We took our time taking off today. Our mission today was to go to Tangier Island, and what a Island it was. I had the best crab stuffed shrimp ever at Fisherman's Corner. They were in the Southern Living Mag. in May 2005. We stayed at Parks Marina, and the owner was Milton he was 80 years old. He was quite a legend. There were only 2 trucks in town to move supplies. they are not allowed, only bikes, 4 wheelers, and golf carts. Every house has a fence, and they have graves in their yards. now that is pretty wild.
